The Vineyard planted in 2022
Vineyard
Having followed the permaculture principles of slow and steady and observe and interact, we recently came to the conclusion that a vineyard would be suitable for our land. We ended up converting one of our pasture fields into a vineyard consisting of 12,500 vines.
We planted pinot noir, pinot meunier, seyval and ortega, two red wine grapes and two white wine grapes.
In keeping with the wider farming ethos, we are using low intervention principles to manage the vineyard and will hopefully have our natural wine to sell in 2027.

We will be making a. light red, pet net and an orange wine with the grapes.

Our vineyard is one of many in the local area with more and more being planted every year, a lot of which are also following the same low intervention principles as well.
We hope that this region will become a hub for this style of vineyards and we can inspire others to do the same.
