REGENERATIVE FARMING.

PERMACULTURE PRINCIPLES.

Regenerative farming is our greatest opportunity to mitigate climate breakdown and build resilience for the future.

Using permaculture principles, we move towards a diverse, edible, perennial landscape that retains water and nurtures the earth.

our farm

Three Pools sits on 141 acres of lush pastures and woodlands at the foot of the Black Mountains. It looks to research and demonstrate regenerative farming techniques whilst producing nutritious, flavourful food and drink and hosting high quality events that bring people into the landscape.

Our Belted Galloway cows drive soil fertility—we love them. There’s a reason they’re revered in so many cultures. They live outdoors year-round, grazing our pastures and woodlands.

Large Black pigs are an incredibly rare breed. They’re ecosystem engineers, transforming woodland and pasture.

Badger Face Sheep—let’s be honest, they can be a bit of a nuisance to work with! But they collaborate well with our cows, and their wool is one of nature’s finest fibers.

The history of this farm is rooted in fruit. We have an apple orchard with heritage apple varieties, as well as plums and cherries.  We’ve identified unique pear varieties, including one of the biggest pear trees in the UK the St Gwytherin.

We also have hives of honeybees on the land - by increasing plant diversity across the farm, we produce honey that’s truly extraordinary.

We breed and raise all our animals from birth to slaughter. With an on-site butchery, we maintain full control over quality and taste.
